| Mechanism (summary) | Protirelin is synthetic thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH). Historically used as a diagnostic pituitary-thyroid challenge agent. Current U.S. public labeling on DailyMed reflects a compounded product, and PubChem notes protirelin is not currently available in an FDA-approved product. |
